Crew Food Options on Sun Princess – Beyond the Crew Mess!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a little update on the crew food experience onboard the Sun Princess (and likely similar on other Princess ships too). We all know the crew mess is where we usually grab our meals, but Princess Cruises has been offering some awesome extras for the hardworking crew!

Here’s a breakdown of the additional options currently available onboard:

MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA Station

Customize your own pizza with a pretty solid list of ingredients. It’s available on select days and gives you a fun way to break away from the usual mess meals.

Ingredients include:

Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese

Toppings: Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Onions, Bell Peppers, Black Olives, Jalapeños, Pineapple, Artichokes, Garlic

Proteins: Tandoori Chicken, Ham, Pepperoni

Great for a quick bite or if you’re craving something cheesy and fresh!

MAKE YOUR OWN SANDWICH Station

Perfect during lunch hours or late evening breaks. There’s a nice variety of breads and premium meats to choose from, plus toppings and sides to build your perfect sandwich.

Bread Choices:

Artisan Bread, Sourdough Ciabatta, Multigrain Baguette, Rye Bread, Good Brioche

Meats:

Roast Turkey, Ham, Salami, Roast Beef

Toppings & Sides:

Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles

Cheddar Cheese, Mayonnaise, Mustard

Potato Salad & Coleslaw

Definitely one of the more appreciated upgrades – and it tastes just as good as it sounds.

Theme Night Corners (Occasional Specials)

They also mix things up with special food corners during the week. So far, I’ve seen:

Fajitas and Tacos Corner – build your own with fresh fillings and toppings

BBQ Corner – grilled meats, sides, and sauces, usually on deck during evenings

It’s great to see Princess recognizing the importance of crew morale and giving us something to look forward to outside of the usual mess food. It might not be every day, but when these extras are available, they definitely make a difference!
